Nilakantha Maheshvara

Drink the poison, O Nilakantha! Drink it up.
Drink the poison of the trifold bonds.
The bonds which bind us to this world steeped in duality.
Drink the poison, O Nilakantha! Drink it up.
Drink up the poison of maya, O Nilakantha!
The poison of differentiatedness, of limitedness
Which keeps us feeling separate from You;
Which keeps us engaged in the material world.
Drink the poison, O Nilakantha! Drink it up.
Drink up the poison of karma, O Nilakantha!
The poison of cause and effect, of action and reaction
Which keeps us in a state of flux, unlike You;
Which keeps us engaged in cycles of birth and death.
Drink the poison, O Nilakantha! Drink it up.
Drink up the poison of anava, O Nilakantha!
The poison of individuality, of atomic reality
Which keeps us feeling we have an existence apart from You;
Which keeps us engaged in desire and dejection
Drink the poison, O Nilakantha! Drink it up.
Drink the poison of the trifold bonds.
May we become absorbed in layavastha --
The state of unitary existence within the body of Shiva.

Om Nilakanthaya Namah.

AUM NAMAHA SHIVAYA
first of all a wonderfull job for granting us the knowledge about LORD SHIVA. i have been reading your blogs for past few days although no new write ups being posted by you but when i read the older ones i really feal very nice. my father gave me SHIVA MAHIMNA STOTRA to recite which i recite with full devotion to GOD 9 times a day n some times even more it really relaxes me n makes my inner self utterly humble. From your blog writings i come to know you r a great SHIVA bhakt.you not only understand the meanings of the shlokas but also put it on the blog for readers.thank you.
can you put some more legends of LORD SHIVA. LORDS sweet description turns even sweeter through your writing. morever i needed a help my exam is on 13th n m not able to prepare i.e i m feelin underprepared n not able to concentrate n it is really creating lot of tension. i know this is very childish but is there ne stotra which makes LORD really very happy so that HE help me in my exams. i m really tensed up.plz mail me at amitbikrath@gmail.com. i m sorry if this appeared very indecent to you as i hv written all these in the public portal.
AUM NAMAHA SHIVAYA

Thank you both for the kind comments. I have not had time recently to post as much as I used to. I will, however, post more material in the coming weeks and months. And as always I do try and take suggestions and requests into consideration. Aum Namah Shivaya.
