Murugane! O Child of Shiva, O gentle Lord,
Guide us from the mystic chakras within
Unto the spiritual landscape of Your Father’s grace;
Awaken that shakti, remind us of the true path.
Destroy with Your glorious vel this sorrow
This sorrow that permeates our minds daily;
We beseech You, O Guha, be merciful, be merciful.
From all directions bring us those vibrations
Vibrations that take us away from worldliness
Into the state of blissful existence, so delightful.
